CLINTON MINOR SOCCER VOLUNTEER OPTIONS

ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

Registration

  • Assist with registration, eg. inputting registrations, assisting with forms, etc.

Executive Member

  • Assist with planning and coordination of Clinton Minor Soccer

Coach Coordinator

  • Ensuring all teams have at least 2 coaches

  • Ensuring all coaches have the proper qualifications

  • Ensuring all coaches know and follow the clubs coaching policies

  • Directing coaches to resources for practices

  • Being a link between coaches and the executive

Referee Coordinator

  • Ensuring the club has access to enough refs for the season

  • Ensuring all refs have the proper qualifications

  • Creating and monitoring the ref schedule for the season

  • Being a link between refs and the executive

Field Maintenance Manager

  • Booking fields with the school boards for use

  • Creating a schedule for all games and practices

  • Making sure the fields are lined and maintained for the season

Traveling Team Equipment Chair

  • Ensuring all traveling teams have all the necessary equipment (balls, cones, etc.)

  • Coordinating with each team to deliver/pick-up equipment bags at the beginning and end season

  • Inflate balls, replace old with new, etc.

House League Equipment Chair

  • Ensure all House League teams have the necessary equipment (balls, cones, etc.)

  • Ensure nets are in good condition

  • Have equipment bags and nets in sheds at House League fields before start of season

  • Inflate balls, replace old with new, etc.

Traveling Team Coach

  • Team contact

  • Contact team players

  • Instruct players through practices and game play

  • Teach and enforce rules of the games

Traveling Team Assistant Coach

  • Assist with coaching duties as outlined above

Traveling Team Uniform Contact

  • Receive uniforms for your team from the Uniform Chair

  • Hand out to team players, recording numbers and items received

  • Collect uniforms from team players at the end of season

Net Set Up/Take Down

  • Get the net out of the shed

  • Set up the net before the practice

  • Take down the net and return to the shed at the end of the practice/game
